Lavender Lemonade
Serves 20 (in a 10 oz. rocks glass, filled halfway with ice)
1 gallon Milo’s Lemonade
3 c water
2 c sugar
3 T dried lavender
½ c lemon juice
Fresh lavender sprigs, optional
Make the Lavender Syrup:
Bring 3 c water, 2 c sugar, 3 T dried lavender to a boil, stirring with a wooden spoon until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes. When cool, strain flowers through a fine mesh sieve TWICE. Store in the refrigerator in a Mason jar or use immediately.
Mix all ingredients:
Pour 4 cups of pre-made lemonade into another pitcher for use at a later time. Add ½ cup lemon juice and 3 cups lavender syrup to the remaining lemonade gallon jug--shake to mix well. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh sprigs of lavender if available.
