For 1: Holly Brunch Cocktail

 

Holly Brunch Cocktail
Serves one in a rocks glass filled halfway with ice (recipe for a gallon below)

2 T sugar
4 T water
1 small rosemary sprig
6 T 100% cranberry juice
2 T pulp-free orange juice
2 T club soda
1 50 ml mini bottle vodka

Make a Simple Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a microwaveable measuring cup and bring to a boil, usually about one minute in the microwave. Remove from microwave and add rosemary (no need to de-stem it; just throw it in there) and let this set (or steep) for 5 minutes. Discard rosemary from syrup (If necessary, strain any green bits with a small mesh sieve right over your rocks glass). 

Combine syrup and juices into a glass, top with club soda, and fill to the top with ice. Garnish with an extra rosemary sprig, if you have one. Add vodka, if desired (which might require a larger glass!).
