For 1: Holly Brunch Cocktail

 

Holly Brunch Cocktail
Serves one in a rocks glass filled halfway with ice (recipe for a gallon below)

2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons water
1 small rosemary sprig
6 tablespoons 100% cranberry juice
2 tablespoons pulp-free orange juice
2 tablespoons club soda
One 50 milliliter mini bottle vodka

  1. Make a simple syrup: Combine sugar and water in a microwavable measuring cup and bring to a boil, usually about one minute in the microwave. Remove from the microwave and add rosemary (no need to de-stem it; just throw it in there) and let this set (or steep) for 5 minutes. Discard rosemary from syrup. (If necessary, strain any green bits with a small mesh sieve right over your rocks glass.)

  2. Combine syrup and juices into a glass, top with club soda, and fill to the top with ice. Garnish with an extra rosemary sprig, if you have one.

  3. Add vodka, if desired (which might require a larger glass!)
